Wilson Curtis has been employed for 26 years as a Sheriff’s Officer with the Essex County Sheriff’s Office in New Jersey. He also served with the Irvington Police Department as a Police Reserve Officer for a brief tour. Wilson has been with the Christ Church family in Rockaway, NJ for eight years where he serves as a Team Chaplain, Small Group Leader, Pastoral Assistant and Altar Worker. Wilson earned a bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice from Rutgers, The State University. He also attended New York Theological Seminary in New York, NY where he earned a Certificate in Christian Ministry.

After a 26-year career with the U.S. Postal Service, Ron transitioned in 2000 to full-time ministry at Christ Church with locations in Montclair, Rockaway, and Clifton, N.J. As a Counseling Pastor, Ron provides oversight to the lay counseling ministry, pastoral care and chaplaincy ministries. He is a certified Grief Recovery Method specialist. Ron earned a master’s degree in theology from Alliance Theological Seminary in Nyack, NY. He also serves as a police chaplain with the Montclair Police Department, NJ Department of Corrections, and NJ Human Services Police.
